The Guide

A bad tour versus a fabulous trip of a lifetime, in large part, depends on the efforts and personality of your guide.  And, boy, did we get lucky.

Tina Hiti made my first trip to Europe everything I hoped it would be.  She is funny, smart, personable, and one of the most resourceful people I have ever met.  Thank you, Tina, for everything.

Growing up in former Yugoslavia and now residing in Slovenia; she was able to share stories and perspectives you would never get from anyone other than a home-grown guide.

Oh, she always had the most colorful and awesome shoes.

And we should not forget the bus driver, Ales.  Polite. Skilled.  The fact Ales and Tina grew up nearby each other made the trip that much more fun; as they joked and kidded one another like a close brother and sister.

What class-act, all the way around.
